Current Board Service
Presbyterian Homes and Service (PHS): PHS is one of the nations largest not-for profit senior housing developer and provider. I currently serve as Vice Chair and will become Chair in shortly.
Flourishing Services International (FSI): FSI is a start-up for profit company that provides both tech services for networked entities like the Boy Scouts, and holds the commercial license rights for the Harvard Human Flourishing Study usage. I serve as the Chair.
Uncompahgre Medical Center (UMC): UMC is a federal qualified health clinic serving rural Colorado with a service area in San Miguel and western Montrose counties. I serve as the chair of the Finance and Audit committee.
Habitat for Humanity US Council: The US Council is the board representing all the independent Habitat Affiliates in the US and Canada and makes policy and program recommendations to the international board.
Prior Board Service
Habitat For Humanity International (HFHI): Habitat is one of the largest home builders in the world. HFHI is the governing body for all the federated US and Canada affiliates and all other country offices. I served my full 9 year term and ended as Chair of the Board. I also served as the chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and the Strategy Committee.
Concordia University St. Paul (CSP): CSP is the second largest private university in Minnesota. I served my full terms and was Chair of the Board of Regent for most of that time. During my tenure, CPS was the first University to do a major tuition reset lowering the real cost of higher education.
Many Others: I served on the Thrivent Financial board and other industry board like the International Cooperative and Mutual Federation, the American Council of Life Insurers, … I also have served on many church and community boards.
Community Service
I currently serve as an Elder at the Alpine Chapel in Telluride CO.
I serves as a mentor to men going through a difficult time through the Stephen Ministry program.
My wife and I are regular volunteers at community service and church service events.
